Base URL & Authentication
Use our dedicated base URL to route requests to our uncensored model. Your API key authenticates every call, so keep it secure. The endpoint accepts standard headers found in most SDKs.
- Base URL:
https://api.mistralapidocs.com/v1 - Header:
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
Generate your key on the Get API key page via Google or email. You receive the key immediately without phone verification.
Chat Completions Endpoint
Send a simple text prompt to get a direct response. The model ID is uncensored and handles text-in, text-out tasks. Errors and refusals do not consume credit, so you can test freely.
This works with any OpenAI-compatible client by updating the base URL.
curl https://api.mistralapidocs.com/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "uncensored",
"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Set the log level to debug in the config file"}]
}'
Python SDK Integration
Use the official Python library to integrate quickly. Override the base URL to point to our servers. This keeps your existing code structure intact while gaining access to our uncensored model.
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(base_url="https://api.mistralapidocs.com/v1", api_key="YOUR_KEY")
resp = client.chat.completions.create(
model="uncensored",
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Summarise this thread without softening it."}],
)
print(resp.choices[0].message.content)
Node SDK Integration
Integrate using the Node.js SDK for server-side applications. Set the base URL and API key in the client configuration. This approach ensures compatibility with standard JavaScript workflows.
import OpenAI from "openai";
const client = new OpenAI({ baseURL: "https://api.mistralapidocs.com/v1", apiKey: process.env.API_KEY });
const resp = await client.chat.completions.create({
model: "uncensored",
messages: [{ role: "user", content: "Draft a villain monologue for my game." }],
});
console.log(resp.choices[0].message.content);
Streaming Responses
Enable streaming to receive tokens as they generate. This reduces perceived latency for long outputs. The final chunk contains the total token usage for billing.
stream = client.chat.completions.create(
model="uncensored",
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Tell the story in second person."}],
stream=True,
)
for chunk in stream:
if chunk.choices and chunk.choices[0].delta.content:
print(chunk.choices[0].delta.content, end="", flush=True)
Limits, Errors & Context Window
Our API supports a 100,000-token context window for each request. You can send up to 16,000 tokens in the output. Rate limits cap at 300 requests per minute and 8 concurrent requests per key. Handle HTTP 401 for invalid keys, 402 for insufficient credit, and 429 for rate limits. Prepaid credit never expires, so you can pause and resume anytime.
